Residential Network Upgrades - Status 9/9/2024
We are pleased to announce that we just turned up a 10 Gbps fiber circuit in Cave Creek. This circuit significantly increases our capacity and the speeds we can offer customers in Cave Creek, Desert Hills, and Carefree. Many thanks to the Town of Cave Creek and Maricopa Sheriff’s office! They were very supportive throughout the process. We are continuing upgrading our customers in Cave Creek and Desert Hills. Residential Network Upgrades - Status 6/24/2024
We are constantly looking at ways to upgrade and improve our network performance and reliability. Over the past few years we’ve evaluated a number of wireless technologies in the hopes that they would enable us to offer higher speed Internet services. Unfortunately, they all performed well below expectations in real world testing. We have finally found two new technologies that have proven to work well in our initial deployments. We have been slowly upgrading customers over the past 6 months while the manufacturers worked on fixing some minor software issues.
We are excited to finally be able to significantly upgrade speeds to the vast majority of our customers. Initially, speeds will increase from the current max of 50 Mbps to a maximum of 250 Mbps. We are hopeful that we will be able to increase those speeds to 500 Mbps with some follow on upgrades starting later this year. Some of the upgrades have been completed and many more will occur over the next few months. Below is the current status of upgrades in our different areas.
Cave Creek, Desert Hills, and Carefree
Currently over 40% of our existing footprint has been upgraded. Upgrade work in progress will increase the coverage 85% over the next 60 days.
Tonopah, Wintersburg, Arlington
Approximately 25% of our coverage has been upgraded. We are accelerating the upgrade work in this area and expect to have at least 80% upgraded in the next 60-90 days. We will also be adding two additional sites that will increase our coverage in the area.
If you haven’t already been contacted to schedule a free upgrade, feel free to reach out to us at sales@mojobroadband.co or 480-575-7550 to either get on the schedule or on the waiting list if your area is not ready yet.
